Western Spring

from Songs For The Seasons by Tim Harrison

about

This track was written while I lived on Gabriola Island. It was inspired by the world class band of jazz musicians who had retired there and played in the town square...much joy and dancing to these guys.

lyrics

WESTERN SPRING©Tim Harrisonand Second Avenue Songs

The warm wind comes and blows away
The winter cold and the shorter day
And the earth it nods to meet the sun
And Orion’s hunt is almost done

.And the people dance all around the square
As music flowsand it fills the air
And time to breath in deep and clear
To find the love and leave the fear

And it’s time for seed to drive its way
Through the warming ground to the feeding rain
And the colours come and the gray it goes
And sun pours down and green grass grows.

And the people dance all around the square
As music flows and it fills the air
And time to breath in deep and clear
To find the love and leave the fear
